Garden City
The Trojans graduated seven Division I starters but return Boston College commit Jenn Medjid, a top playmaker in Nassau.
Mount Sinai
State Class C champions four of the last five years, the Mustangs have Meaghan Tyrrell (Syracuse) and twin defenders Meaghan and Kirsten Scutaro (both Notre Dame) to lead the way.
Eastport-South Manor
Expected to be a juggernaut as defending Suffolk Class B champions with junior midfielders Kasey Choma and Jaime Biskup.
St. Anthony’s
Graduating 18 seniors is rough, but the 10-time-defending CHSAA champs aren’t ready for a letdown with star players Elizabeth Pawlak (Villanova), Sofia Iaccino and Kira Accettella.
Massapequa
The defending Nassau Class A champions boast a strong midfield, headlined by Jackie Gatti (Hofstra) and sophomore Alexa Gentile. Defensively, there are few better than Erin Tierney (Hofstra).
Ward Melville
The Patriots were the surprise of 2017, exceeding expectations by ripping off 17 straight wins to start the season before Northport beat them in the Suffolk Class A semifinals.
Bayport-Blue Point
Mount Sinai’s toughest competitor in Suffolk Class C, the Phantoms are led by twin seniors Cassidy and Courtney Weeks, both headed to Boston College.
Wantagh
Kayla Conway (Pace), Anna Kauffman (Hofstra) and Danielle Carson have the Warriors primed to repeat as Nassau Class C champions under new coach Lauren Schwalje.
Northport
There’s a lot of talent on the roster, headlined by Emerson Cabrera (Florida), Olivia Carner and Danielle Pavinelli.
Manhasset
Returning a trio of star seniors in Madison Rielly (Maryland), Krissy Kowalski (UPenn) and Katie Bellucci (UPenn), the Indians are going to be a handful in Nassau I.
