'Noises Off' review

Michael Frayn's masterpiece gets a credible performance of its incredible farce-within-a-farce antics, directed by Edward Brennan at CM Performing Arts Center.
A nimble cast -- led by Emily Nadler as a faded star who fumbles her running gag about sardines, and Jack Howell as a hard-of-hearing booze-hound -- assures us that whatever can go wrong will indeed. As the beleaguered director, Rob Schindlar gets no sympathy from fellow thespians-playing-thespians: Matt Langen, Jennifer Hope, Kristen Digilio, Paul Velutis, Heather Van Velsor and William Sheehan.
Whether onstage or backstage aboard Mark DeCaterina's reversible set, "Noises Off" remains a relentless romp.
