Nominations sought for Brookhaven women’s awards

The Town of Brookhaven is seeking nominations for its annual women’s recognition awards.
The town Office of Women’s Services is asking community groups, businesses and individuals to nominate women who have distinguished themselves in fields such as business, community service, government, health care, law enforcement and sports.
Nominees must live or work in Brookhaven. Applications must be submitted by Jan. 24 and should include a resume or similar document and two letters of recommendation.
The town plans to hold its 28th annual Women’s Recognition event during Women’s History Month in March.
