The North Babylon boys team had a standout day at the Long Island Elite Invitational at St. Anthony's Saturday as Kris Moran won the 1,600 meters in 4 minutes, 18.89 seconds.

North Babylon's James Boney, Chris Briscoe, Izaiah Williams and Marcell Nesbitt teamed up to take the 4 x 200 in 1:34.94.

The quartet of Billy Blatz, Shaun Coyle, Brock Schmid and Moran won the 4 x 800 in 8:14.82.

Smithtown West's Michael McCann won the high jump in a meet and facility-record height of 6 feet, 6 inches.

St. Anthony's Michael Brunoforte won the pole vault in 14-6, and John Lee of Shoreham-Wading River won the 3,200 in 9:41.0.

Huntington's Tyriek Johnson won the long jump (22-3 1/4) and the 55 hurdles (7.51).

In girls events, Massapequa's Catherine Young won the 3,000 in 10:36.79, Sachem North's Melissa Michels won the 55 in 7.46 and Bay Shore's Jessica Gelibert took first in the 600 in 1:37.27.

Kellenberg's Odrine Belot won the triple jump (38-11).

Uniondale's Brittany Webley won the 55 hurdles (8.28) and was part of the Knights' winning 4 x 200 relay squad, which included Timaya Forehand, Crystal Green and Adrianna Powell.
