About 70 North Hempstead couples who have been married for 50 years or longer will renew their vows at the town’s third annual Valentine’s Day ceremony, town officials said.

The mass marriage vow renewal ceremony, with the theme “Over the Years, Flying High,” will be held at the Harbor Links Golf Course in Port Washington. The Feb. 14 lunch event begins at 11 a.m.

Town clerk Leslie Gross, who came up with the idea for the event, said, “We are so happy to be able to celebrate the love the couples married over 50 years have shared.”
