Northern State ramp in Old Westbury shut for repairs, DOT says

The I.U. Willets Road ramp to the eastbound Northern State Parkway will be closed starting Wednesday for repairs to crumbling pavement, the state Department of Transportation said.

The closure in Old Westbury is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for two days, including Thursday, the agency said.

Also, the right lane of the parkway in the work area will be closed.

Drivers should take alternate routes to avoid delays; those unable to use an alternate route will be detoured via Glen Cove Road back to the parkway, according to a news release from the agency.
