Northport Family Harbor Nights to debut

Starting Tuesday, a section of Main Street in Northport will close on Tuesday evenings in August for Northport Family Harbor Nights.
The section of Main Street from Union Place to Woodbine Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic to create a pedestrian mall featuring live entertainment, games for children, outdoor dining and antique cars.
The evenings are sponsored by the Village of Northport and the Northport Chamber of Commerce. They will be held Tuesday and on Aug. 9, 16, 23 and 30. Events begin at 5 p.m.
Parking lots at the foot of Main Street, across from Village Hall and Union Place, will be available.
