Not all should vote on a new coliseum

Regarding "Nassau ready to fund special vote" [News, July 2], all Nassau County registered voters will be able to vote on a new Coliseum on Aug. 1. This means that property owners as well as non-property owners will be eligible to vote.
Only the property owners will be held liable for the cost of the new Coliseum and ballpark. The non-property owners will have a say in the election, even though they will not be held responsible for the cost. This is wrong.
Only those responsible for the cost should be able to vote. A registration day should be set aside for the property owners. Then and only then will the election be fair.
