I made an error in a blog post following Raw on Monday. I said the brawl between Team WWE and Nexus was a seven on seven fight, but it was really seven on six. Earlier in the night Nexus took out The Gret Khali and forced him out of the match this Sunday at Summerslam. Bret Hart and John Cena offered the spot to the Miz, who said he would think about it.

Will the Miz be there for Team WWE? I think so because the WWE planted the seed on Raw and they will follow up with it in some way. My guess is he becomes the seventh member of Team WWE . It’s weird not to have the Miz in a match at one of the biggest pay per views of the year. The real question is does he really help the WWE or does he screw them to become an even bigger heel?

Then again, he could be the WWE Champion by the time this match is televised at Summerslam.

I will be posting my predictions tomorrow for Summerslam.

Quick Hits:

*Speaking of Twitter, Mick Foley had an interesting tweet on August 3rd: I had a great meeting with Chris and Jay of Union Square today - looks like my life story might really be headed for the big screen. Nice.

I’m sure good ole’ Long Island be a nice backdrop for the beginning of the movie as Foley spent his early days in Setauket.

*Lastly, congratulations to former WWE CEO Linda McMahon on winning the GOP nomination for the U.S. Senate seat in the state of Connecticut. McMahon outspent opponents by more than $20M. She now faces Democratic Attorney General Richard Blumenthal in November.
