NY Nets beat Floridians before 3,064

Levern Tart scored 31 points as the New York Nets downed the Miami Floridians, 114-109, in an American Basketball Association game at the Island Garden in West Hempstead. The victory, which ended a three-game losing streak, was witnessed by 3,064 at the Garden, which was the Nets' home while they awaited the completion of Nassau Coliseum. They opened the season at Island Garden after spending the previous season at the dilapidated Long Island Arena in Commack.
