The Nyack MusicWorks Swing Night fundraiser, postponed in January, will take place April 5 at Harbor Hill, 91 Main St. in Nyack, from 7 to 10 p.m.

The nonprofit MusicWorks is an organization of parents that works with the Nyack Public School District to support and enhance the music department and increase community awareness.

Swing Night will feature trombonist, composer and arranger Matt Haviland and his swing band. A Nyack resident, the internationally known Haviland is an advocate for the Hudson Valley and its arts and bringing jazz to the area.

There will also be light fare and raffles at Swing Night. For more information about Nyack MusicWorks, go online at http://www.musicworksfornyack.com/
