The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation announced in a Wednesday afternoon news release that residents of the Oak Beach community will be able to access their homes “beginning immediately.”

The release adds, “Residents with proper documentation will be authorized access to their homes past the road blocks.

Additionally, residents of West Gilgo will be authorized access as safe measures are placed along Ocean Parkway.”
