Not only is the Oceanside-Massapequa a good series between two of the perennial contenders in Nassau Class AA, but the third game of the series will be used to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Long Island.

Oceanside has decided to move its home game to Burns Park on Merrick Road in Massapequa and will still be the home team on Thursday at 7 p.m. The game will be called "Play Ball for a Cure."

The teams will be selling T-Shirts, running concessions and collected donations in the hopes of helping people on Long Island afflicted with the disease.  Students will be selling shirts all week long and selling "baseballs for a cure" in the main lobby of Oceanside High School and Massapequa will be doing the same at their school.

On Thursday, a "Lifeskills" class will be selling hot dogs in the lobby all day to help.
