The Oceanside school district and Oceanside Professional Development Center will present a survival workshop Monday geared toward residents dealing with superstorm Sandy’s aftermath.

The workshop, presented by Grief Works, is for the Oceanside community to address its losses and begin the healing process. The forum is not intended for children, organizers said.

The event will be held at 7 p.m. at the Oceanside High School auditorium, 3160 Skillman Ave.

Grief Works is a partnership of grief experts. Bobbie Comforto, of Huntington, is a clinical social worker and certified thanatologist, who specializes in bereavement and trauma. Anne C. Kane, of Rockville Centre, is a heart-centered psychotherapist and clinical psychologist, according to the group's website.
