Anticipation for the Knicks’ first NBA Finals appearance this century has been palpable on Long Island.

And the Long Island Bagel Cafe, with eight locations on the Island, has got in on the action. The eateries are selling Knicks-themed blue and orange bagels to celebrate the team’s run, and they’ve been a big hit at the Mineola location.

“We’re big on the Knicks," said Lillian Mejia, an assistant manager at Mineola’s Long Island Bagel Cafe.

Mejia, who lives in Westbury, said the bagels are temporarily available. “For me, it tastes the same. It's just the color, you know,” Mejia said. “But people love them. Yeah, they love them when we have them. They buy it a lot.”

Knicks-themed blue and orange cookies are also available at the store.

Long Island Bagel Cafe’s other Long Island locations are in Franklin Square, Baldwin, Oceanside, Nesconset, Long Beach, Glen Cove and Bellmore. They also have stores in Scarsdale and Boca Raton, Florida, with two more Florida locations coming soon.
