Two men, one with a gun, robbed a fast-food restaurant in East Garden City early Saturday, ordering all the employees into a back office before taking money from the safe, Nassau police said.

A 21-year-old male employee of Wendy's at 820 Old Country Road was throwing out garbage at 12:45 a.m. when two men approached, pushing their way into the restaurant, police said.

The men, one of whom displayed a black handgun, ordered the victim and the other four employees at the restaurant into a back office before removing money from a safe, police said.

The suspects then ran away in an unknown direction, police said. No one was reported injured.

The armed suspect was described as in his 20s, 6' tall and 160 lbs. The second suspect was described as 19 years old, 5' tall, and 140 lbs.
