Off the wall: Almost time for Super, man

Off the Wall is feeling super, thanks for asking.

EARLY 'GIRLS' You may have heard from someone sometime somewhere that tomorrow is Super Bowl Sunday. Having also heard the word, HBO makes tonight the one-time-only home for new episodes of Sunday half-hours "Girls" and "Enlightened" (tonight at 10:05 and 10:35, HBO; also airing tomorrow at regular times). Of course, these upcoming episodes are already available via HBO On Demand, plus HBO Go apps or hbogo.com.

MOVIE MANIA Kevin Costner stars in five Saturday flicks: "JFK," "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves," "Waterworld," "Open Range" and "Silverado" (noon-12:35 a.m., Encore). Turner Classic Movies premieres the studio documentary "Tales From the Warner Bros. Lot" (tomorrow at 9 a.m., TCM). And then there's the fatal attraction of "Chiller 13: Most Horrifying Hook-ups" (Friday at 8p.m., Chiller). SUPER STUFF Oh, yeah. The Super Bowl. Have you heard? Coming up tomorrow. But it's not just the game that goes Super. So do such alternative stunts as "Celebrity Beach Bowl" (today at 1 p.m., DirecTV), with jocks like Jesse Palmer and Amani Toomer joining showbizzers like Snoop Dogg, Ian Somerholder and Matt Bomer. The "2nd Annual NFL Honors" (tonight 9-11, CBS/2) beams live from game-site New Orleans with host Alec Baldwin. Journey joins Rascal Flatts there, too, in the latest cross-genre concert for "Crossroads" (tonight at 11, CMT). Stay tuned to CBS after tomorrow night's game for a late-night live outing from "The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson" (Sunday after midnight, CBS/2). More postgame superness: "60 Minutes Sports" (Wednesday at 10p.m., Showtime) reports what it's like staging the Super Bowl, while "NFL Characters Unite" (Friday at 7 p.m., USA) profiles athletes who've overcome bullying (the Giants' Justin Tuck) and discrimination (Troy Polamalu).

SUPER SUBSTITUTES Not into football? Sunday TV offers other options -- like NatGeo Wild's themed marathon Predator Bowl (noon-11 p.m.) and Animal Planet's annual "Puppy Bowl" (3-5 p.m.; repeats at 5, 7, 9 and 11 p.m.). Other Sunday marathons include Universal HD's "House" (6 a.m.-Monday 6a.m.), Cloo's "In Plain Sight" (6 a.m.-Monday 6a.m.), Hallmark's "The Golden Girls" (9 a.m.-midnight) and TNT's inevitable "Law & Order" (4 a.m.-Monday 6a.m.). Sunday prime time has Sean Connery's 007 double feature of "Goldfinger" and "You Only Live Twice" (8 and 10:30 p.m., Reelz). And also John Belushi, Bill Murray, et al in "Live From New York: The First Five Years of Saturday Night Live" (9-11:10 p.m., NBC/4; return Feb. 10 for "SNL" in the '80s).

'HAWAII' FLASHBACK CBS' original "Hawaii Five-0" series ran 1968-80, but its echoes are all 2013 in the next new "Hawaii Five-0" (Monday at 10p.m., CBS/2). This update/
