Hempstead Village residents can view and pay their property taxes online through the village’s free online tax service, officials said.

“Residents will have the option to review and pay their taxes online, reducing paperwork and streamlining the process for both sides,” Mayor Wayne J. Hall Sr. said.

The service, offered since June 1, gives taxpayers online access to their property tax statements with the option to view, print or pay tax bills via electronic check or credit card. The village’s tax department in conjunction with Munitrax -- an online payment processing company -- developed the program.
