Missouri stuffs Texas

Kendial Lawrence had 106 yards with a touchdown in relief of Henry Josey and the Missouri defense, burned for 697 yards at Baylor a week earlier, kept No. 16 Texas out of the end zone for the first time since 2004 in a 17-5 victory Saturday in Columbia. The Tigers are 5-5, 3-4 Big 12.

K-State takes 4 OTs

Collin Klein scored on a quarterback sneak in the fourth overtime, his sixth touchdown of the game, giving host No. 14 Kansas State a 53-50 victory over Texas A&M. The Wildcats (8-2, 5-2 Big 12) rallied from a 10-point deficit in the final 6 minutes of regulation to hand the Aggies (5-5, 3-4) their third consecutive loss.

Irish breeze

Jonas Gary ran for a career-high 136 yards and two touchdowns, and Notre Dame rolled to a 45-21 victory over Maryland (2-8) in Landover. Tommy Rees completed 30 of 38 passes for 296 yards and two scores for the Irish (7-3).

Bearcats blocked

Eain Smith blocked Tony Miliano's 31-yard field goal attempt as time expired as West Virginia tagged No. 23 Cincinnati (7-2, 3-1 Big East) with a 24-21 loss. The Mountaineers are 7-3, 3-2.

Bears breathe, barely

Robert Griffin III threw three touchdown passes in a fourth-quarter comeback as Baylor (6-3, 5-3 Big 12) escaped with a 31-30 victory when Kansas (2-8, 0-7) failed on a two-point conversion in overtime.-- AP
