Just before he hopped aboard an LIRR train from Hicksville to Huntington, Arnold Ace said he is “a little bit” worried about the storm impacting his overnight commute back home after he works his shift as an usher at The Paramount theater Friday evening.

“I checked the weather … there’s not going to be any wind involved, just the accumulation of snow,” Ace, 46, of Hicksville, said as a layer of snow coated the train tracks and commuters’ cars in the station’s parking lot.

“The train should be running, and it’s a short walk from here to where I live. … I feel bad for the people that are driving. You’re better off walking on a night like this. The Long Island Rail Road is usually pretty good about staying on schedule in these types of conditions.”

Ace does not think the snow will impact his train ride to his Saturday night gig as an usher at UBS Arena either.

“Unless it’s a blizzard, they’re not canceling any of those [Islanders] games,” he added.
