The Plainview-Old Bethpage School District will host its first "Parent University" -- an academic, financial and social workshop for parents -- tomorrow from 6:15 to 8:35 p.m.

The workshops will focus on academic standards, financing strategies, and the social well being of their children. Topics such as "ABCs of College Admission and How to Pay for College," and "Study Skills/Homework: Removing the Impediments to Success" will be covered.

The district will provide an activity center staffed by district teachers, administrators, and high school students for parents to drop of school students in grades kindergarten through sixth grade.

It will be held at H.B. Mattlin Middle School, 100 Washington Ave., Plainview. For more information, call the school at 516-937-6393.
