Southern State Parkway crash injures 2 women, State Police say

Two women were hospitalized with minor injuries after a crash on the westbound Southern State Parkway Monday in Uniondale, police said.

State Police and the Uniondale Fire Department responded to the three-car crash at 11:42 a.m. just west of the Meadowbrook State Parkway.

One woman injured her hand; the other suffered a “minor rash from a deployed air bag,” State Trooper Frank Bandiero said.

The women’s names were not disclosed. They were taken to Winthrop-University Hospital, Bandiero said.
