Peekskill Community Gardens seeks hands to prep for planting

Peekskill Community Gardens invites the public to join Volunteer Work Day from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Forest View Garden on Rte. 6 across from Beach Shopping Center, 1831 Main St.

All community gardeners and gardeners-in-training are invited to help prepare the ground for planting and to purchase a garden plot for the 2013 season. Participants are asked to bring shovels, rakes and gloves.

Individual garden plots are $30 and a place in the "Peoples Plot" is $20. Cash and check payments accepted. Checks can be made payable to PCG/HRHC.
