Pep rally planned for new LI 'Extreme Makeover' project

Alure Home Improvement is hosting a pep rally on June 14 at Suffolk County Sports Park in Central Islip to enlist volunteers to help build a dream home for a Long Island family as part of ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.”

The family’s name and location won’t be released until star Ty Pennington and the rest of the show's crew do the signature knock on the door on June 21.

Alure will also coordinate a food drive for the Interfaith Nutrition Network at the makeover site.

This will be Alure’s eighth run as the lead builder for an “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” project.

The pep rally, held at the Long Island Ducks' home ballpark, will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
