A Long Island Rail Road train struck an unauthorized person on the westbound tracks in Baldwin early Monday, railroad officials said. The condition of the victim was not immediately known.

The accident is causing delays of 15 to 20 minutes Monday on the Babylon Branch.

Officials said the train involved was the 4:39 a.m. train from Babylon, due to arrive at Penn at 5:55 a.m. It was canceled in Baldwin — and officials said customers would be accommodated by the 5:18 a.m. train from Wantagh.

The 4:54 a.m. train from Penn Station, due to arrive in Babylon at 6:08 a.m., was being held in Rockville Centre.
