Philanthropy Day coming to Melville

President of SUNY College at Old Westbury, Calvin O. Butts III, will be the keynote speaker at Philanthropy Day to be held Friday by the Association of Fundraising Professionals Long Island Chapter.

The event is geared toward nonprofit executives, foundations and anyone interested in fundraising issues. Conference organizers said they expect the event to attract more than 700 attendees and 60 exhibitors.

In addition to Butts’ speech, the event will include a presentation by three nonprofit leaders who will compete in front of a panel of philanthropists, who will award donations.
