Plans under way for Bridgehampton firehouse
The Bridgehampton Fire District is in the early stages of designing an extension to the existing firehouse to help with space issues.
The district is working with an architectural firm to design the renovation, which at this stage calls for a second story with room for office space and an extra bay door for fire trucks, Commissioner Chairman Steve Halsey said.
“It’s not in the near future,” Halsey said of the expansion. “We haven’t finished designing what we want to do.”
When the process is further along, officials said, the fire district will schedule and advertise public hearings.
