Police, fire officials to appear at North Bellmore civic meeting

Nassau County’s First Police Precinct commander inspector, Joseph Magrane, and North Bellmore Fire District Commissioner Edward E. Kraus will be guest speakers at the North Bellmore Civic Association meeting Monday.
The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. in North Bellmore Public Library, 1551 Newbridge Rd. The meeting room has a capacity of 150 people.
Magrane is expected to discuss topics such as precinct consolidation status, staffing, crime, traffic enforcement, neighborhood issues and problem-oriented policing. Kraus will discuss his election to the board of commissioners and the department’s operations.
Two officials from local solar energy group Built Well Solar — chief executive Dan Sabia and chief operating officer Nancy Hiler — will give a presentation about solar energy and its tax benefits.
