Police investigating cyberbullying in Queens girl's hanging
Police are investigating the alleged cyber bullying of a 12-year-old girl found hanged in her Queens Village home Wednesday.
Gabrielle Molina was found by her 15-year-old sister hanging by a belt from her bedroom ceiling fan Wednesday, police said. EMS responded around 2:30 p.m. and attempted to revive her with CPR, but she was declared dead at Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
Police said there is no criminality suspected at this point, but that the I.S. 109 student had told her family she was bullied.
The Department of Education did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
