Police: Man found floating in pool at house party

A 49-year-old man was on life support in the critical care unit of a hospital after he was found floating, face down and unconscious Saturday night at a North Bellmore house party, Nassau police said.

Another guest found the man floating in the shallow end of an in-ground pool and called the police at 9:20 p.m., police said.

A guest pulled him from the pool and was trying to revive him with CPR when the police got there.

The man's name was withheld by the police because they had not yet notified his family.

The event was described as "a small house party."
