Federal Drug Enforcement Administration agents and local police carried out a major coordinated crackdown on the illegal distribution of painkillers on Long Island and New York City, charging 98 suspects, authorities said. Will the scrutiny make it harder to people with legitimate medical needs to legally obtain needed drugs from doctors?
