Pols to make announcement on volunteers

Brookhaven Town Supervisor Mark Lesko and Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone will make a "major announcment" regarding Long Island emergency services volunteers at 2 p.m. today in Farmingville, according to a news release.
The release mentioned the heroism volunteers showed in fighting wildfires in Manorville and Ridge earlier this week.
The announcement will take place at the Brookhaven Amphitheater Chalet Deck.
