Port Jefferson Village will celebrate the season at its second annual Harvest Festival on Sunday, Oct. 23.

The festival features costumed characters, musical performances, pumpkin decorating, a parade of dogs in costumes, a classic-car exhibit and other activities. The village’s annual chowder-tasting competition will also take place.

The festival runs from noon until dusk, with a Halloween movie screening at dusk, and is sponsored by the village’s Economic Development Council, the Greater Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce, the Port Jefferson Business Improvement District and the Greater Port Jefferson Arts Council.
