Port Jeff repaving will affect traffic

A repaving project in Port Jefferson will affect local traffic for the next week, and scheduled construction is expected to continue for months.
The village announced that road repaving is under way on East Broadway, Caroline Avenue and Brook Road. Major repaving and drainage projects are expected to start soon, and continue for the next few months, on the hill of East Broadway, Dark Hollow Road, Myrtle Avenue and High Street, Inwood Road and Pine Hill Road.
The village website at www.portjeff.com plans to post updates and schedules of the projects.
The village advised residents who encounter complications because of the work to call Department of Public Works at 631-473-4733.
