The Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie will host a free "Look Good, Feel Better" workshop for women undergoing cancer treatments from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday.

"Look Good, Feel Better" is an American Cancer Society program that offers skin-care tips, makeup application techniques, wig and turban styling and more for women undergoing radiation or chemotherapy.

"'Look Good, Feel Better' helps women look their best while they are undergoing cancer treatment," Amy Wen, American Cancer Society coordinator for the program in Dutchess County, said in a news release. "Although almost all of the more appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment are temporary, they can be very distressing. By helping women improve the way they look, we can also help them to feel better."

Space is limited so preregistration is advised. For more information, or to register, call 800-227-2345.

The workshop will take place in conference room A of the main hospital of Vassar Brothers Medical Center located at 45 Reade Pl.
