As Newsday’s Feed Me blog notes Tuesday, Smithtown will hold its first Restaurant Week from March 21 to 28. Organizers have assembled 27 restaurants that will offer $25 prix-fixe meals.

Hamptons Restaurant Week will also run that same week. Now in its eighth year, at last count 59 restaurants were on board.

New this year to the Hamptons program: Some restaurants are offering $19.95 prix fixe menus in addition to the standard $24.95 offerings. And some restaurants have put their menus for the week online, so “diners can do a little scouting ahead of time,” says Steve Haweeli of WordHamptonPR, which organizes the event.
