State Sen. Charles J. Fuschillo Jr. (R-Merrick), in conjunction with the Integrated Medical Foundation and Bostwick Laboratories, will sponsor a free prostate cancer screening event in Wantagh.
The screening will be held Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Wantagh American Legion, on 3484 Park Ave. The free screenings will be conducted by Dr. Theodore Felderman.
The program is open to all Nassau County men ages 40 and older, who have not previously been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Screenings will include a prostate-specific antigen blood test and a digital rectal exam.
Patients will be required to show photo ID containing an address at the time of the screening. Patients can get exam results by bringing two stamped envelopes: one addressed to themselves and the other to their regular doctor.
Appointments are recommended, and scheduled on first-come, first-served basis. Walk-ins will be accepted. For more information or to make an appointment, call Fuschillo’s office at 516-882-0630.
