Put nuclear plant on Plum Island

Regarding "Plum Island: Disease center study delayed" [News, Dec. 12], the best usage for Plum Island would be a nuclear power station. It would be off shore and produce clean, cheap energy. No use of natural gas, and no air pollution.
Shoreham should never have been abandoned. We now have the opportunity to right a wrong. Safe, clean, cheap energy for Long Island
