Jets cornerback Qwan'tez Stiggers, who passed out during Tuesday’s practice and was taken to a hospital, is in the concussion protocol. He was released from the hospital on Tuesday night and is home recovering.

“Really good news on Stiggers,” Aaron Glenn said. “He’s doing fine. He’s in concussion protocol. He had symptoms yesterday. We’ll take care of that exactly how we do with any of our guys in that situation.

“I talked to him a good amount last night. He’s doing well. I talked to his wife and she’s taking good care of him. I’m happy about that.”

Stiggers was involved in an altercation not long before he briefly lost consciousness on the Jets’ sideline. His helmet was removed during the fight with a Buccaneers player in Tuesday’s joint practice. Tampa tackle Luke Goedeke emerged from the scrum holding Stiggers' helmet. Glenn couldn’t say with certainty that it happened then.

“He’s in the protocol, so something must have happened,” Glenn said. “I can’t tell you exactly when. To me at the end of the day, he’s going to be just fine. That’s all I care about.”
