Rain and wind causing 2 hour delays at LaGuardia
Rains and winds gusting up to 47 mph are causing big delays at LaGuardia Airport on Monday, the Federal Aviation Administration is reporting.
Inbound flights are being delayed as long as 2 hours and 16 minutes, officials said. Outbound flights are also affected.
There are no reported delays at Kennedy or Long Island-MacArthur. However, the FAA is reporting delays of almost 1 1/2 hours on flights into and out of Newark-Liberty.
Flights from the East Coast to Philadelphia, San Francisco and other areas are also experiencing some delays - and could cause further problems for travelers here. Officials are asking travelers to check with their carriers regarding potential delays and cancelations.
