Huntington native Ralph Macchio accompanied his actress daughter Julia to the red-carpet premiere Monday of "Girl Most Likely," in which she has a small part.

"Big night for [Julia]," the onetime "Karate Kid" star tweeted. "Great job, my girl. Congrats!!"

Julia Macchio, 21, plays a New Jersey clubgoer in the Kristen Wiig comedy about a failed New York playwright who moves back in with her mother in New Jersey.

"She has a little part in the movie she got all by herself -- not through me!" Ralph Macchio told People magazine at the Landmark Sunshine Cinema on the Lower East Side.

"I didn't want any help from him," his daughter added. "It was so much fun and a great first experience. Kristen is so nice, and everyone was so nice. I had one scene, but it was a great experience."

When People asked if she would consider doing karate in a movie, Julia Macchio laughed and replied, "Oh my gosh, no. Hopefully other things, though. But not karate."

Said her father, "It's been done."
