Tampa Bay had never won a game that ended like this.

Nick Hundley's passed ball with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning yesterday gave the Rays a 3-2 win over the Baltimore Orioles.

Playing its 2,733rd regular-season game, Tampa Bay won for the first time on a game-ending passed ball, according to STATS. Baltimore had not lost on a walk-off passed ball since at least 1974, STATS said.

"It's tough to lose a game because I don't catch the ball," Hundley said. "I can't remember the last time I just flat-out missed it."

Rays starter Drew Smyly, who gave up one run in six innings, is 3-1 with an 1.70 ERA in seven starts since being acquired from Detroit for 2012 AL Cy Young Award winner David Price.

Angels 8, Twins 5: Albert Pujols homered and hit a tiebreaking two-run double in the ninth inning for his 2,500th hit for visiting Los Angeles. Pujols hit a solo homer in the third off Phil Hughes, scoring his 1,500th run on his 25th home run this season.

A's 4, Astros 3: Jed Lowrie hit a walk-off RBI single in a three-run ninth for Oakland.

Indians 3, White Sox 1: Corey Kluber (14-9) pitched a five-hitter to win for the first time in a month for host Cleveland.

Red Sox 4, Blue Jays 3: Clay Buchholz (7-8) allowed two runs and four hits in 61/3 innings for host Boston.

Phillies 3, Nationals 1: A.J. Burnett allowed one run in seven innings for visiting Philadelphia.

Braves 4, Marlins 3: Evan Gattis hit a leadoff homer in the top of the 10th for Atlanta.

Cardinals 5, Brewers 3: Matt Adams and Oscar Taveras homered for visiting St. Louis, which opened a four-game lead in the NL Central.

Dodgers 5, Diamondbacks 2: Adrian Gonzalez hit a two-run homer for host Los Angeles.

Pirates sweep Cubs. Francisco Liriano struck out nine in six innings as visiting Pittsburgh beat Chicago, 5-0. Earlier, Josh Harrison hit a tiebreaking RBI single in the 11th as the Pirates snapped a four-game losing streak in the conclusion of Friday's series opener, which was suspended because of rain. -- AP
