In 2009 I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Invasive Breast Cancer. My life flashed before my eyes. This can't be happening to me? A mother of 2 beautiful children and a wife - I had to much to live for.
I had a double mastectomy and 4 months of chemotherapy which robbed me of my hair and my energy. But I felt like I was fighting it head on. I had cancer; it did not have me.
I am now a 2-year survivor and I cherish each day and try to live life to the fullest. Cancer somehow has a way of humbling you to appreciate the little things in life and to never ever stop fighting.
