Real friends don't need Facebook

Sorry, Mark Zuckerberg. Without access to Facebook, we managed to make friends, and keep them throughout our lives.
Because of my husband's professional changes, we moved from Brooklyn to Los Angeles, to Kansas City, Mo., and then to Flint, Mich. Now we are back again in New York.
We continued to be in touch with the friends we met along the way whom we both liked. It is gratifying to meet individuals with a good deal of curiosity about their own world, as well as the world many miles away from them. Real friendships are formed in this manner.
