Reality Check: "MythBusters" stars leave series

'MYTH' BUSTED The supporting stars of "MythBusters" -- builders Tory Belleci, Kari Byron and Grant Imahara -- have tweeted goodbye, for now, following their ouster from the series, which co-host Adam Savage announced on-air Thursday. "After a decade of the MythBusters, we are no longer with the show. Thank you to all the fans who have supported us," said Byron, the first to tweet. Imahara thanked the show "for allowing us to teach science in a whole new way. Also, explosions. Now, on to the next adventure!" Added Belleci to the team's fans, "I can't tell you how much your overwhelming support means to us. Change is never easy, but I'm so excited about the future. Stay tuned."

PREMIERES Lifetime's new "Girlfriend Intervention" offers four African-American women -- fashion expert Tiffiny Dixon, beauty consultant Tracy Balan, "sanctuary guru" Nikki Chu and "soul coach" Tanisha Thomas -- who "help their white sisters get their mojo back," according to the network. The new series premieres Wednesday night at 10 . . . then at 10:30 p.m. on the Cooking Channel, chefs Aldo Lanzillotta and Joanne Lusted have amateur contestants "Compete to Eat" using whatever ingredients they can find in a pantry.
