Reality Check: 'Real Husbands' debut set

FAUX REAL. Bravo's "The Real Housewives" franchise is a hit, and so now BET has announced the Jan. 15 premiere of "Real Husbands of Hollywood." It's a faux reality series -- a sketch-comedy show that grew out of comedian Kevin Hart's bit on the 2011 BET Awards. "We knew after the response to the 'Real Husbands' sketches on the BET Awards that we had something special," BET's music-programming and specials president, Stephen Hill, said in a statement. The show stars the recently divorced Hart as well as Nick Cannon, J.B. Smoove, Boris Kodjoe, Duane Martin and Robin Thicke, the husbands of, respectively, singers Mariah Carey and Shahidah Omar, and actresses Nicole Ari Parker, Tisha Campbell-Martin and Paula Patton.

PREMIERES.Anthony Melchiorri's back for a second stay at "Hotel Impossible," with the new season premiering Monday night at 10 on the Travel Channel . . . the Grammy-winning, gospel-singing sisters Erica and Tina Campbell return for another chorus of WE's "Mary Mary," Thursday at 10 p.m. . . . and five women, including business professionals, a star poker player and an entertainment reporter, make and break "Sin City Rules" in Las Vegas, courtesy of TLC, starting at 10 p.m. Sunday.
