Passenger killed, driver hurt when vehicle collides with tractor-trailer on NJ Turnpike, cops say

One person was killed and another was injured when their vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer on the New Jersey Turnpike.

State police say the crash occurred around 4 a.m. Sunday, in the truck lanes of the highway in Woodbridge Township. A male passenger in the car died, while the driver was taken to a hospital with undisclosed injuries.

Further information on the injured person's condition was not disclosed.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
