TROY, N.Y. — Ninety-three people have been arrested at a Troy bar and grill for allegedly possessing fake identification.
The State Liquor Authority said state investigators and local police officers raided Bootlegger’s Bar and Grill Thursday night as part of an investigation into underage drinking.
The state estimates that 175 of the 225 people in the bar were under the age of 21. Ninety-one fake licenses were confiscated. The fake licenses were purportedly from twelve states and Puerto Rico.
Two bartenders were also arrested for allegedly selling alcohol to minors.
State liquor officials are now moving to suspend Bootlegger’s alcohol license. A message left at the establishment was not immediately returned Friday.
The raid comes after a similar sweep of an Albany bar last month resulted in 73 arrests.
