Would Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo be an effective campaigner for President Barack Obama, and if so, where?

Cuomo said the Obama re-election team asked him to travel outside New York to stump for his fellow Democrat in the final weeks of the race against Republican Mitt Romney. But it's not clear where, when and how often the New York governor would campaign.

Ohio, Virginia, Nevada and Pennsylvania are among the swing states still up for grabs. Also, Florida -- where it might make the most sense to deploy Cuomo.

After all, there are a lot of retired New Yorkers who now call Florida home, some who might fondly remember his father, Gov. Mario Cuomo. And the current governor's Queens accent might not seem so foreign in the Sunshine State as, say, Ohio.-- Yancey Roy
