Details of Ed Koch's will released

Ed Koch left the bulk of his $10 million estate to his sister, Pat Thaler, but gave a $100,000 bequest to his longtime secretary, Mary Garrigan, who had served the feisty politician, pundit and film critic since 1975.
Other provisions in the three-term mayor's 2007 will, which was filed Monday in Manhattan, included:
$100,000 to the LaGuardia and Wagner Educational Fund to create a program bearing his name to promote public and government service. Koch had earlier given the LaGuardia and Wagner Archives important historical papers.
$50,000 each to his late brother's wife, Gail Koch; and to his nephew, Andrew Koch; and niece, Joey Koch.
Photographs and memorabilia to the New York Historical Society, which he promised to the organization in the year 2000.
Thaler, who is the executor of Koch's will, and her husband were given a specific bequest of $500,000 but Koch's will made clear that anything in his estate not specifically mentioned was to be turned over to his sister.
Koch died on Feb. 1 at the age 88 of congestive heart failure.
